The Racine Symphony Orchestra (RSO) is calling on all performers as they announce their 2018 Racine Talent Showcase. Vocalists, dancers, and instrumentalists of all ages and genres will be selected to perform at the Friday, August 24th Lakeside Pops-Racine Talent Showcase concert at 7 p.m. at the Racine Civic Centre’s Festival Hall.
To apply, send a video recording, or link to a video posted on the YOUTUBE website to beth@racinesymphony.org no later than March 1, 2018. Selections can be 3-10 minutes in length and must include the performance in it’s entirety.
Please make sure your performance is appropriate for accompaniment by the Racine Symphony Orchestra. The RSO will assume responsibility for the arrangements.
If you are applying, you must be available for rehearsals on August 21st and 23rd from 7:30 p.m.-10 p.m., and the evening of the concert on August 24th at 7 p.m.
Pasquale Laurino, Artistic Directory for the Racine Symphony Orchestra will be selecting the performers. Applicants will be notified by April 3, 2018.
The Young Strings (https://www.facebook.com/youngstrings/) will be performing with the orchestra as well as giving a pre-concert show.
