No one was injured in a fire that happened just after midnight Saturday at a home located at 1014 Mayfair Drive.

Firefighters with the Racine Fire Department were called after a witness saw smoke coming from the second floor of a two-unit side-by-side home. When crews arrived, they contained the fire to the second floor.

Another child told officers the Racine Police Department that he saw another child, who was playing with a lighter, start the fire. The estimated loss is $20,000.

The five people living in the affected unit will stay with friends until the damage has been repaired. The tenants in the other unit were able to return to their home.
