Imogene “Gene” Powers Johnson, the matriarch of the Johnson family, died Saturday at Ascension All Saints Hospital, according to a story by the Racine Journal Times.
Johnson’s husband Sam Johnson was the patriarch of the Johnson family companies.
In a letter sent to the Journal Times, the family characterized Sam and Gene’s relationship as “an extraordinary partnership built on their shared love of fun and adventure, and unwavering commitment to family, community” and to “giving back more than we take from the world.”
