Rosemary Zalewski passed away on Wednesday at Ascension All Saints Hospital following a brief illness. She was born in Sterling, Illinois on October 5, 1920, and was the daughter of the late William and Margaret (Nee: Woods) Conlon. Rosemary graduated from Community (Newman) High School in Sterling, Illinois.
On June 22, 1946, she was united in marriage to Louis J. Zalewski who preceded her in death in 2001. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Marylou and Joseph Majowski; grandchildren, Ellen and Kevin; sisters, Joan Edelman of Park Ridge, IL and Joy (Roman) Gales of Glenview, IL; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by sisters, Rose Norbert, Jean (Harold) Quinn, Dorothy (Chester) Bryan, and brother-in-laws, Melvin Edelman, Harold Quinn, and Chester Bryan.
A Memorial Mass will be announced and celebrated at a later date at St. Monica’s Senior Living. Memorials have been suggested for St. Monica’s Senior Living.
