Bud Eastman

Name three long-term goals you have for the Village and why you chose them.

1. My top priority will be Public Safety for our citizens. As more construction workers and new employees move into this area, we will need a greater presence of Fire/EMS and Police personnel.

2. Create a positive environment for businesses to grow & create jobs This will be healthy for all of our citizens.

3. Hold the line on property taxes. Necessary to keep spending under control and still provide vital services

What are the three biggest challenges the village faces and how would you address them?

1. The biggest challenge for the Village will be the quick growth with Foxconn moving in. I have dealt with large projects in the past and understand the teamwork it takes to bring them to fruition.

2. Transportation to and from the area. Work with a transportation committee to support the movement of people.

3. Hold the line on property taxes. Keep our tax paying citizens in mind when expenditures are discussed.

The Village is poised for growth. How should it adapt to that growth?

As the growth materializes, we need to keep everyone informed and up to date on the issues, so they have a buy-in and feel they are part of the process.

How would you describe your leadership style?

I’m a Team player. I have experience in working with both large and small business and have an open and cooperative disposition. I consider myself as a “bridge builder” and support Collegiality.

Why should people elect you?

I love my community and care about its future. I’m willing to dedicate myself to making this a great place to live and enjoy.
