About $35,000 in damage was done to a home started on fire at 2:20 a.m. Sunday morning at 1753 Park Avenue.

No one was injured during the blaze, according to officials with the Racine Fire Department.

A neighbor’s friend called 911 after seeing fire coming from a first-floor living room window of the home. When fire and rescue personnel arrived, they were able to contain the firs quickly. As a result, the damage was contained to the living room.

Officials are still investigating the cause of the fire.

After the fire was put out, the home was turned over to the property owner.
