
With his family by his side, William J. “Bill” Fritzler, 72, passed away on Tuesday at his residence. William was born in Racine on November 26, 1945, the son of the late Reuben and Rose (nee: Katrocites) Fritzler.
Bill proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. On November 23, 2000, Bill was united in marriage to Linda Scully-Sabby. He was a dedicated employee of J.I. Case for thirty five years until his retirement in 2000, and was a member of the Case 20 Year Club. He also was a former member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Eagles Club and the Jim Beam Bottle Club. In his retirement he enjoyed volunteering at the voting polls and working as a crossing guard for Roosevelt School.
Bill will be dearly missed by his wife Linda; daughters, Lori Fritzler, Tracy (Jay) Sawasky, Amy Seager; step daughters, Cynthia Greer (Randy Kretzschmar), Cheryl Farnsworth; 9 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; sister, Victoria (Alan) Guse; sisters-in-law, Donna (Jim) Merrill, Diane (John) Madison; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his brother, Don and sister, Sharon Leimbach.
Funeral services followed by Full Military Honors will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 1 p.m. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home Saturday from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m.
