Dale Michael Edwards, 57, born on July 8, 1960, passed away at his residence in his hometown of Racine, Wisconsin. Dale was a member of the Racine Painters Union Local #108 and the United States Marine Corps.
If you knew Dale you knew him as someone that was always in a good mood, the life of any party, a master in the kitchen, extremely organized in all aspects of life, someone that took pride in his work, and the only person I know that has been interviewed on the Oprah Show for his volunteer work in the city. He was charismatic, funny, intelligent, creative, strong, industrious, always willing to help, and a friend that you wanted to have. Being a friend of Dale’s meant that you signed up for a lifetime of friendship.
Dale looked forward to warm weather and spending his time outside golfing, grilling, and gardening. He spent a lot of time reading, looked forward to the daily newspaper, morning news, and never missed watching a football game. He always told us he wanted to be a meteorologist, loved talking about the upcoming weather forecast and was the weather channel’s biggest fan.
Dale was very special to many. We’re grateful for the memories we have and the stories we can pass on. We’re lucky to call you dad and happy to call you a friend. He is loved, he is missed, and will forever be in our hearts.
Dale is survived by his father, Martin (Shirley); children, Aaron, Nerissa, Adam; his grandchildren, Adam Jr., Bentley and all of his great friends that he considered his family. He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia; and brothers, Donald and Mark.
Please join us in celebrating Dale’s life this Saturday at 12 p.m. at Stewart-McBride Park, 6400 Durand Ave, Mt. Pleasant, WI, 53406
