Several criminal charges were filed Thursday in Racine County Circuit Court against two men after a search warrant Wednesday.

Billy Dee Thompson, 36, Racine, is charged with two felony counts of possession of a firearm, one felony count of possession with intent to deliver or manufacture marijuana, one felony count of maintaining a drug trafficking place and a misdemeanor count of obstructing an officer.

The felony charges carry a total fine of $70,000 and 27 years in prison. The misdemeanor carries a fine of $10,000 and nine months in county jail.

Also charged is Levert Woodall, 22, Chicago. Woodall is charged with felony counts of possession with intent to deliver marijuana and maintaining a drug trafficking place, which carries a total fine of $20,000 and seven years in prison.

According to the criminal complaint:

Investigators with the Racine Special Investigations Unit executed a search warrant at 3524 Victory Ave., where they knew Thompson resided. When police approached, Thompson alleged ran into the residence.

Police found a duffel bag in the kitchen that contained 25.7 grams of marijuana, a smaller bag that had 8 ounces of marijuana, an open box of sandwich baggies and two functional digital scales.

In the living room, where Woodall was, police found a bag with 51 grams of marijuana. Police also located $1,250 in cash in an upstairs bedroom.

A search of a Ford Fusion that officers had observed Thompson driving had two firearms, a bag with 5.9 grams of marijuana and a safe in the trunk that had $11,032 in cash. Thompson denied knowing anything about what was found and stated that he works and the money was from his job.

Both defendants will be back in court for a preliminary hearing June 13 at 9 a.m.
