Surrounded by his loving family, Dennis L. Krueger, 67, passed away Sunday, April 29, 2018 at his residence. He was born in Racine on April 5, 1951, son of the late Richard A. Krueger and Florence “Penny” (Nee: Clark) Bero.
In his younger years he enjoyed camping at and being a staff member at Camp Anokijig. Dennis owned and operated Brandts in downtown Waukegan and was employed at various jewelry stores including Rogers and Hollands, last working at Jared until his retirement. Dennis had an extensive pig collection. He will be fondly remembered for his keen sense of humor.
He will be deeply missed by his twin sister, Debbie Hanson; brothers and sister, Richard E. (Connie) Krueger, Diana Siepler, Dean (Jody) Krueger, Jeff Krueger, Jim Krueger (Jayne Manders), very dear friends, Tom and Shirley Mork and the entire Mork family; his canine companion, Bear; numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, other relatives and dear friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his partner of 28 years, Bill Mork.
A Celebration of Dennis’s life will be held Saturday, June 30th at Preservation Hall of Racine, 740 Lake Avenue from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. Casual Dress is suggested!
Memorials to the American Cancer Society or to Camp Anokijig have been suggested.
Dennis’s family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to Dr. Laura Michaelis and staff, and to Froedtert Hospital and Heartland Hospice staffs for their loving and compassionate care.
