Racine Police are investigating the death of a 31-year-old Racine man after he suffered a gunshot wound early Monday morning.
According to a press release from RPD, officers responded at 3:20 a.m. Monday to a call for shots fired nearly the intersection of Blake Avenue and Albert Street. Shortly after, emergency dispatch took a call reporting a vehicle vs. electric pole at Spring Street and Freres Avenue.
When officers arrived on the scene of the accident, they discovered the driver was suffering from a gunshot wound and later died from his injuries.
Investigators do not know if both incidents are connected. No other information is being released at this time.
