If you commute, travel or even rely on public transportation through the middle of Racine County, you will need to keep up to date on what’s happening with the transportation changes.

With Foxconn Technology Group and their suppliers coming to the area, the traffic around the middle section of Racine County has become a hot topic. And with 22,000 jobs on their way, a newly minted eastern Racine County transportation plan has emerged.

The framers of that plan — which included county, officials from eastern Racine County municipalities and Visioning a Greater Racine — looked at how people who need jobs can get access to them and how commuters are going to get to those jobs quicker. Here’s a conversation between Racine County Eye owner Denise Lockwood and Trevor Jung, of Visioning a Greater Racine, on the county’s transportation plans.
