The Caledonia-Mt. Pleasant Memorial Park is taking over as the promoter of the upcoming Franksville Food Truck Fest on September 7 and 8. The Franksville Craft Beer Garden will also help promote the event.
In order to better serve the community, the park is making it a free event to attend, including free parking. This is made possible with sponsorship help from Real Racine and the Franksville Craft Beer Garden. Additionally, to help raise funds for the park, Food Truck Fest VIP Packages, and pre-sale t-shirts will be available for sale.
“We are excited to inherit this event from the previous promoter and re-launch it as a community event and a fundraiser for the park,” said park superintendent and Kraut Fest Chair Jim Svoboda.
The Franksville Food Truck Fest will feature eight to 12 food vendors each day, a beer garden, and live music Friday and Saturday nights.
Saturday events:
- Badger football tailgate party Saturday morning and the Kids Connection Playground for the kids to enjoy.
- Saturday morning classic car show at 10 a.m.
- Helicopter rides, beer yoga Saturday at 11:30 a.m.
- Bounce house
“We are excited to partner with the park to put on an event the entire community can enjoy,” added Franksville Craft Beer Garden owner Ken Michel, “It will be an exciting month at the park with the Food Truck Fest, Racine area’s Largest Oktoberfest Celebration Sept 27-30th and our regular weekly events.”
The food trucks will be serving up their delicious eats from 4 to 8 p.m. Sept. 7 and 11 to 7 p.m. on Sept. 8. The current lineup of trucks includes some local favorites such as:
- Marco Pollo,

The trucks will be competing for several prizes including “Best in Show” and “Best Food Item.”
The lineup differs daily and can be found on the event’s new Facebook event page located on both the park and beer garden Facebook pages.
A limited number of VIP Packages will be sold for $25 in advance of the event, with proceeds going to the park. The VIP package will include; a reserved seating area, two free beer/soda drink chips from FCBG, $5 in Truck Bucks, a Great Plate and additional swag items.
