A search warrant executed Thursday at a Racine residence turned up a substantial amount of marijuana and led to four criminal charges filed Friday against a 48-year-old city man.
Michael J. Krusienski was charged in Racine County Circuit Court on Friday with felony counts of manufacturing/delivering marijuana, possession of marijuana and possession of cocaine, along with a misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Each of the felonies carries a fine of $10,000 and three years, six months in prison, while the misdemeanor carries a fine of $500 and 30 days in county jail.
According to the criminal complaint: Officers with the Racine Police Department executed a search warrant at 1506 Bryn Mawr Ave., where they found one large marijuana plant (11.6 pounds), one medium-sized plant (3.2 pounds), 15.3 grams of marijuana in a plastic baggie, 15.1 grams of marijuana in a plastic tote and 17.1 grams of marijuana in a mason jar.
On a nightstand in the defendant’s bedroom, police found multiple pieces of drug paraphernalia, along with a loaded 12-gauge shotgun, an antique action rifle, boxes of rifle ammunition and a rifle located in pieces.
As Krusienski returned to his residence, he was stopped by police, who found .5 grams of cocaine in his pants pocket.
The defendant stated he has grown marijuana for personal use for several years and that all the marijuana was his. He also stated the cocaine in his pants pocket was for personal use.
Krusienski made his initial court appearance Friday and will return Oct. 10 for a 9 a.m. preliminary hearing.
