A search warrant executed Sept. 26 at a Racine residence led to six criminal charges being filed Monday in Racine County Circuit Court against a 37-year-old Racine man.
Damien L. Flores is charged with felony counts of possession with intent to deliver cocaine and maintaining a drug-trafficking place. The charges carry a total fine of $110,000 and 28 years, six months in prison.
Flores also faces four misdemeanor counts of bail jumping, which carry a total fine of $40,000 and three years in county jail.
According to the criminal complaint:
Racine Police Department officers entered the defendant’s residence at 2048 Hickory Grove Ave., Lower, where they located Flores and $1,005 in cash.
Also located in a northeast bedroom was a purse that contained a baggie with 3.5 grams of cocaine. Police spoke to the owner of the purse, who denied having any knowledge of drugs in her purse or anywhere else in the house.
Additional cocaine was found in the living room that weighed 19.5 grams, along with 5.6 grams in the back pocket of a pair of a child’s pants. Two scales were found, along with 1.7 grams of cocaine in Flores’ Cadillac Escalade.
Court records indicate the defendant has three previous felony drug convictions in Racine County from 2015. He is also currently free on bond in two separate misdemeanor cases and was ordered not to commit any new crimes, which led to the bail-jumping charges.
Flores is due back in court Oct. 10 for an 8:30 a.m. preliminary hearing.
