Caledonia Police are searching for a man who shot a gun in the air during an argument at about 4 p.m. Tuesday at some apartments in the 3300 block of Packer Drive.

The area around the apartment building has been taped off as a crime scene.

Sgt. Jim Gardiner told the Racine County Eye that the person they are looking for and the vehicle is known to the department.

“We are actively looking for along with other agencies,” he said.

Lt. Gary Larsen told the Racine County Eye that it is unknown if the man still has the gun. He remains at-large at this time.

“We know who he is. There was an argument. The gun was not pointed at anyone. He shot in the air and left. We are currently looking for him,” Larsen said.

This is an active investigation. We’ll update the story when we get more information.
