Officials at J.I. Case High School have canceled classes Tuesday after a threatening message was found written on a bathroom wall.

A number of parents contacted Racine County Eye after a photo of a message written on a bathroom wall was posted on Facebook. The threat mentioned that the person had been “bullied all year” and the writer wanted to die. The person also mentioned that their life had been threatened.

“So on October 23, I will take his life and many others. Love you, I’m sorry,” the message read.

School officials and law enforcement officials are still investigating to learn the identity of the person who wrote the message.

“Out of an abundance of caution, we have decided to cancel school at Case High School tomorrow due to a threatening message found on a bathroom wall. We are continuing to work with our local law enforcement to investigate,” wrote Stacy Tapp, spokesperson for the Racine Unified School District.

We’ll update the story when we have more information.
