Out of the Pan Cafe & Catering, 550 State Street, will close its doors in a few weeks. But not for good. The restaurant is relocating to 322 6th St.

Out of the Pan owner, Roberta Schulz, announced Friday afternoon on her Facebook page that she would close the restaurant down at 3 p.m. November 21 after 18 years of being in business. But there is a silver lining, she explained, because they will re-open a restaurant in a new location under a different name, she said.

In a Facebook post, Schulz said:

“The Out of the Pan family is filled with gratitude and thanks to all of our wonderful loyal customers we have had the pleasure to serve for all of these years. The good news is we will be opening a new restaurant, ROBERTA, located at 322 6th St. within the next few weeks.”

Schulz promised that she would post the grand opening date via Facebook.

“Again, words cannot express our thanks and gratitude for all of your continued support. We look forward to seeing you in our new location,” she said.

Racine County Eye reached out to Schulz Friday night. We’ll have more details on Monday.
