On Tuesday, Oct. 30, Racine Police, along with the Racine Fire Department, responded to an active fire report at 1205 Geneva St. The house, with four units, was fully engulfed in flames on arrival of fire and police units. One person was found dead in the home after the fire was extinguished.
The deceased has been identified as David Etter, 71. Etter was an occupant of one of the units in the home. No other information is being released at this time, a spokesman for the Racine Police Department said.
Racine Police investigators are interested in additional information that anyone may have about this incident. Witnesses, or citizens with information, are urged to call the Racine Police Department Investigations Unit at 262-635-7756.
