InSinkErator, headquartered in Mount Pleasant, celebrates 80 years in southeast Wisconsin by unveiling its new $34 million dollar environmentally efficient building this week. At 87,000 square-feet, the building will house 175 engineers and professional staff. InSinkErator is the world’s leading provider of food waste disposers for home and commercial use. InSinkErator employs more than 1,400 people worldwide and has facilities in Mount Pleasant, Racine, Kenosha and Sturtevant, Wisconsin.

To coincide with its grand opening, InSinkErator will commit $200,000 over five years to Higher Expectations for Racine County, an investment initiative designed to engage partnerships with the community and maximize resources to promote excellence and equity in education and employment outcomes in Racine County.

Chad Severson, president of InSinkErator, told Contractor Magazine, “this building is not only a modern, pleasant workspace; it is also a world-class technology center with on-site prototyping, advanced sound engineering facilities and unprecedented lab facilities for our experts to create the future of InSinkErator.”
