A 25-year-old Mount Pleasant man was arrested Wednesday and charged with four felony counts after Racine police officers executed a search warrant at his residence.
Miketrye S. Larry Jr. is charged with felony counts of possession with intent to deliver cocaine, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of marijuana and maintaining a drug-trafficking place.
If convicted of all charges, he faces a total fine of $70,000 and 29 years, six months in prison. In addition, he’s charged as a repeat offender on each charge, which could add up to four years in prison on each felony and two years on the misdemeanor.
According to the criminal complaint: Officers located the defendant and his girlfriend in the bedroom. Larry asked if he could put on a pair of sweatpants, which police searched and located seven small baggies that contained 2.5 grams of cocaine and $53 in cash.
In the living room, police found a loaded .40-caliber handgun in a large compartment of a back pack. In the bedroom, they located a scale with a white residue, along with 4 grams of marijuana and other firearm accessories.
During a second search at an apartment where the defendant stays, police found 0.2 grams of cocaine in a knotted baggie.
Larry admitted to police that anything illegal in the residence belonged to him. Court records indicate that he was convicted in 2014 of being a felon in possession of a firearm in Kenosha County, and in 2011 he was convicted in Racine County of possession with intent to deliver marijuana.
The defendant is due back in court Nov. 14 for a 9 a.m. preliminary hearing.
