A series of undercover drug purchases earlier this year led to seven felony charges being filed Tuesday in Racine County Circuit Court against a 46-year-old Racine man.
Jake A. Isaac faces two felony counts each of manufacturing/delivering cocaine less than 1 gram, delivery of a schedule I or II narcotic and manufacturing/delivering cocaine more than 1 gram but less than five grams, and one felony count of maintaining a drug-trafficking place.
If convicted of all charges, Isaac faces a total fine of $210,000 and 78 years, six months in prison. In addition, each charge carries an additional possible 10 years in prison because the alleged sales took place near a park and near a school.
According to the criminal complaint: Officers from the Racine County Metro Drug Unit, with the use of a confidential informant, made undercover purchases from Isaac on May 14, 15 and 30 and June 4.
Each of the purchases occurred at 1340 Chatham St., which is 329 feet from Jane’s Elementary School and 917 feet from Kids Cove Playground.
On May 14, the confidential informant purchased .5 grams of cocaine and four white oval pills later identified as acetaminophen and hydrocodone, a Schedule II narcotic.
The following day, the informant purchased 1.4 grams of cocaine and 10 pills later identified as acetaminophen and hydrocodone. On May 30, the informant purchased .7 grams of cocaine, and on June 4, a purchase of 1.4 grams of cocaine was purchased from the defendant.
Isaac made his initial appearance in Racine County Circuit Court on Tuesday afternoon.
