Here are some front-runner movies to look out for in December.
Mary Queen of Scots
A historical drama, Mary Queen of Scots illustrates the conflict between cousins Mary Stuart and Elizabeth I. Mary wishes to claim the English throne, and therefore threatens Elizabeth’s sovereignty. The film will be released on December 7.
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse explores the life of Miles Morales as he learns to balance life as Spider-Man with high school and other responsibilities. Miles discovers the Spider-Verse, which is a multi-verse populated with different versions of Spider-Man. This film will be released on December 14.
Mortal Engines
In a post-apocalyptic world, the city of London is on wheels and a woman, Hester Shaw, tries to stop the city from devouring everything in its path. Hester joins an outlaw and an outcast in her quest to save what is left of the world. This film will be released on December 14.
Aquaman
Based on the superhero from DC Comics, Aquaman is a film about Arthur Curry – the protector of the oceans. He is the heir to the underwater kingdom of Atlantis, and must fight his half-brother Orm to save the earth from all-out war between the surface world and sea-dwellers. This film will be released on December 21.
Holmes & Watson
Based on the famous characters from the mind of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Holmes & Watson is a comedy featuring Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly. The investigative pair move against James Moriarty and his evil schemes. This film will be released on December 25.
