Eight-year-old Cody Struble met with Sheriff Christopher Schmaling Monday at 9 a.m. to deliver the toys that were donated by the community during Cody’s Toy Drive.

This is Cody’s third toy drive for hospitalized kids. Cody had three major surgeries on his skull by the time he was 5-years-old, so he’s spent a lot of time at the children’s hospital and knows that they don’t always get the true holiday experience.

They picked up the toys at Zarates Auto Sales in Caledonia and the Racine County Sheriff’s Office. Both Cody and Sheriff Schamling delivered the toys to the Children’s Hospital in Milwaukee, The Ronald McDonald House, Kenosha Memorial Hospital, and other locations.

“The Sheriff’s Office is proud to be a part of such an important and thoughtful project, a project that was brought forward by an equally thoughtful young man that clearly puts others before himself during this season of giving,” said Schmaling.
