Patricia Mary Stachowicz, 75, died Saturday at her residence. Born Nov. 30, 1943 in Waukesha,  she was the daughter of the late Francis and Rosetta (Nee:Plein) Garrow.

Patricia attended Pewaukee High School before earning her B.S. from UW-Oshkosh in 1976. She lived in Appleton for 20 years with her family. A drum corps fan, she was active with the Appleton Americano’s Drum and Bugle Corps from 1978 until 1993. In the late 1990s, she moved to Racine and began working for Johnson Financial Group, from which she retired in 2012. However, she still remained active for a number of years volunteering as a driver for seniors.

In her free time, Patricia enjoyed traveling, watching sports, the theater, and needlework. But more than anything else, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Pat is survived by her son, Michael Stachowicz (Kate Larson) of Appleton; daughter, Lisa Nuske of Wheaton, IL; sister, Linda Kornfehl of Pewaukee; sister-in-law, Kathleen Garrow; other relatives and dear friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Brian Nuske, her brother, Michael Garrow, and brother-in-law, Harry Kornfehl.

There will be a memorial service held at Maresh Meredith & Acklam Funeral Home on Friday, Dec. 21 at 6 p.m. Friends and relatives can meet with the family from 4 to 6 p.m. Memorials to the Humane Society or My Ride have been suggested.
