One person was injured in a two-car rollover crash that happened at 7:18 p.m. Saturday on Emmertsen Road and Spring Street.

A 19-year-old woman driving a black 2004 Hyundai Sante Fe SUV westbound on Spring Street failed to stop at a red traffic light. As she was entering the intersection, a 65-year-old Franksville man driving a 2012 Chrysler Town and Country van northbound on Emmertsen Road crashed into the woman’s car, according to a press release by the Mount Pleasant Police Department.

The Hyundai rolled over and came to rest on the Northwestern portion of the intersection.

The South Shore Fire Department responded to the scene and treated the woman for her injuries, but she wasn’t transported to the hospital.

The woman was cited for failing to stop at the traffic light.

“The Mount Pleasant Police Department would like to remind drivers, especially during the Holiday Season, to
please take their time and ensure to follow Traffic Laws to prevent unnecessary crashes and other traffic-related
Incidents. The Department wishes everyone a Safe Holiday Travel Season,” the press release reads.
