Joseph R. Graceffa, 57, passed away on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at his residence. He courageously endured a three-year battle with a rare form of Leukemia and received the designation, “Superman” for being a strong fighter.
Joseph was born on July 27, 1961 in Racine to Joe and Dorothy (nee: Soens) Graceffa. He attended St. Catherine’s and graduated in 1979, and worked for Western Publishing for over twenty years. After that, Joe worked for Arandell Corporation in Menomonee Falls as a Premedia Manager. His hobbies included baseball, fishing, playing pool, and carving pumpkins with his kids. Above all else, he cherished spending time with his family.
Joe will be dearly missed by his loving children, Angela and Joey; parents, Joe and Dorothy; brothers, John (Tina), Jim, Mike, Bob (Shannon), Dave (Amy), Tom; sister, Annamarie (Jay) Kucera; sister-in-law, Kira; former wife and caring friend, Tammy and her daughter, Kayla; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceding him in death were his grandparents and his youngest beloved brother, Mark.
The funeral will be held at Maresh Meredith & Acklam Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at 7 p.m. Friends and relatives can meet with the family from 4-7 p.m. Private interment will be held at West Lawn Memorial Park.
