The Village of Mount Pleasant will hold three open house meetings next week. The sessions are designed to gather public input that will help guide development of a strategic plan for the next decade.

The meetings will be held at Mount Pleasant Village Hall, 8811 Campus Drive. The meetings are set for Tuesday, Jan. 15, 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.; Wednesday, Jan. 16, 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.; and Saturday, Jan. 19, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The meetings will be held in an open house format, to enable residents to arrive when they choose and spend as much time as they would like on topics of interest to them. The meetings will include presentation boards, small-table discussions guided by facilitators, and interactive surveys and discussions.

Feedback provided at the meetings will help shape and define village priorities. Village officials and consultants from GRAEF and Springsted Inc., which are involved in several large projects with the village, will be on hand to answer questions.

Survey comes next

After the three public open house meetings have concluded, an online survey will be distributed to Mount Pleasant residents to gather additional input.

Village officials encourage residents to make their voices heard and help shape the future of Mount Pleasant, according to a statement from the village.
