The City of Racine Plan Commission will consider an application to operate a catering business with an accompanying retail and takeout operation in a building at 622 Three Mile Road. The application comes from Tesa Santoro of JTS Catering, who is also a co-owner of Blue Bear, 2920 Taylor Ave.

According to a letter to nearby property owners from Amy Connolly, Director of City Development for Racine, the property is zoned B-2 Community Shopping District.
The public can learn more details of the request and can comment at a public hearing Wednesday, 4:30 p.m., in Room 205 of City Hall, 730 Washington Ave.
Among details in the letter, the business will locate in an existing building at the address and will feature an electronic message sign on an existing pedestal. It will operate from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. seven days a week. Although it will be a catering business, a portion of the building will include a bakery and deli with seating for 34 for on-site dining. It will also have a drive-thru for pickups.
