David L. Zahn, 75, died Sunday at Lakeshore at Siena. He was born on May 7, 1943 in Milwaukee to the late Leonard and Marian (Nee:  Wolf) Zahn.

David married Kristie J. Kadziauskas on December 14, 1989. He attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he earned a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, as well as Northwestern University where he earned a Masters Degree in Management. He owned and operated Zahn Electronics for over thirty years before retiring in 2014. David was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church and Sacred Heart Catholic Church. In his free time, he enjoyed nature, hunting, fishing, and art. He also kept an organic garden, which he was well known for. David was a dedicated participant at the cardiac rehab unit at Ascension All Saints Hospital. Above all else, he cherished spending time with his family.

He will be dearly missed by his wife, Kristie, and their children, Anna, and Marie Zahn; previous wife, Sandra Zahn, and their daughter, Amy (Steve) Gill; grandchildren, Jarod, and Tyler Gill; other relatives and friends.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Mark, sister Karen, and brother Michael.

There will be a Memorial Mass held at 11 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2201 Northwestern Avenue. Reverend Ricardo Martin will be officiating. Friends and relatives can meet with the family from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Maresh Meredith & Acklam Funeral Home and from 10 to 10:45 a.m.on Friday at the church.

The family extends a special thank you to the staff at Lakeshore at Siena, Ascension Hospice, and all of David’s caregivers through the years for their loving and compassionate care.
