The City of Racine is now accepting resumes for the temporary appointment of Municipal Judge through March 1, 2019. The candidate will serve as Municipal Judge for the rest of the current four year term until a special election on April 7, 2020.

Qualifications include residency in the City of Racine and a license to practice law in Wisconsin. General litigation experience with traffic and criminal law practice is preferred. Also vital is the availability to assume the position March 12, 2019. The chosen candidate is required to attend the Municipal Judge Orientation Institute May 7-10, 2019. Annual salary is $60,000 plus City benefits. Before submitting a resume, review Wisconsin Supreme Court Rule Chapter 60. Qualified applicants must submit a cover letter, resume, and submit answers for pre-interview questions to the City of Racine, Human Resources Department.
