Michelle L. Martin, 51, died Thursday evening. She was born in Racine on August 13, 1967, daughter of the late Carvin and Dorothy (nee: Judon) Martin.
Michelle attended Starbuck Junior High and JI Case High School. She was employed with One Hour Martinizing for over twenty years. In her spare time, she enjoyed watching her favorite shows “Golden Girls” and “The Nanny” and solving Sudoku and crossword puzzles. Above all, Michelle will be best remembered for her great love and dedication to her family.
Michelle will be dearly missed by her fiancé, Maurice McCurty; siblings, Yvonne (Ernest) Daniels, Anne Pope, Toni Martin, Koren Martin, Darvin Martin, Sheila Martin, Patricia (Roosevelt) Henderson, John Martin, Linda Ihejirika, Lonnie Grandberry, Nathaniel Grandberry, Jermaine Martin, Alcindor Grandberry and Tiffany Grandberry; step-mother, Jessie Mae Grandberry-Martin; step-children, Trenetta Hoard, Maurice (Rochelle) Hoard Jr., Delvin (Martha) Hoard, Armand McCurty; special great niece, Anasia Perry; special friends, Tyson Gordon, Felicia Carter and Jeff McReynolds; and host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Michelle was also preceded in death by her brother Calvin.
Homegoing services will be held at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 1120 Grand Ave, on Friday at 10 a.m. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 9 a.m. until time of service at 10 a.m.
