UPDATE 2 p.m. May 29: Officials with the Caledonia Police Department identified Robert Luckfield Jr. as the man shot to death in his residence on Tuesday.

UPDATE 10:20 p.m.: Officials with the Caledonia Police confirmed that they are investigating the shooting death of a 55-year-old man that happened at 11:39 a.m. Tuesday.

The man’s name has not been released. Investigators learned that an argument had transpired between the man, his daughter, and her live-in boyfriend.

According to a statement released by the Caledonia Police Department:

“During this argument, the deceased fired a round from a handgun at his daughter and the boyfriend. The boyfriend and daughter retreated into a bedroom and armed himself with a rifle. The incident progressed to the point where the boyfriend indicates he had to defend himself and his girlfriend.”

The man died at the scene after being shot multiple times. Police are still investigating the incident at this time.

ORIGINAL STORY: CALEDONIA, WI – Police are on scene for a report of a shooting that took place at about 11:39 a.m. at a residence at 4816 Tanglewood Avenue.

No official word on who was shot or what their condition is. But a neighbor did report seeing the medical examiner on scene but they had left.

Police scanner reports indicated that a man was shot to death. A story by the Journal Times is reporting that Medical Examiner Michael Payne confirmed that the shooting was not a suicide.

Lt. Gary Larsen, of the Caledonia Police Department, said there is no danger to the public at this time.

An active investigation is ongoing. Officials with the Racine County Joint Dispatch confirmed that Caledonia Police are on scene, but officials with the department have not yet made a public comment.

About four police cars and a crime scene truck surround the home. Crime tape has been placed around the house, which is blocked off.
