RACINE COUNTY, WI — Authorities in Racine County say a 61-year-old woman has died after a two-vehicle crash Monday night.

According to the Racine County Sheriff’s office, deputies were called out to the intersection of Highway 45 and W. 7 Mile Road in the Village of Raymond at just before 6 p.m. Monday on a report of a two-vehicle crash.

Authorities say there were multiple people who witnessed the crash, and called 911 to alert authorities that one person was trapped in her car, and appeared to be unconscious. Witnesses also said a second vehicle was resting on its roof, and that it appeared its driver was unconscious as well.

First responders reported attempting to save the life of the 61-year-old woman, unfortunately she succumbed to her injuries and died at the scene of the crash.

Authorities say a 36-year-old woman in the other vehicle was removed from her vehicle, and flown via Flight for Life to Froedtert Hospital for emergency treatment.

Authorities with the Racine County Sheriff’s office say they’re continuing to investigate the crash and will be releasing additional information in the coming days.
