MOUNT PLEASANT, WI – If you plan to travel along Highway K between Highway V and Highway H from Monday through Aug. 30, you’ll need to plan for a different route.
The Canadian Pacific Railroad intends to close that section so that they can make improvements to the railroad grade crossing and repair a rail defect, according to a press release by Racine County.
“County K will be fully closed at the railroad crossing, about 150 feet west of County H, and will be closed to all through-traffic between County Highway V and County Highway H. The closure is scheduled to continue through Friday, August 30,” the press release reads.
Motorists are asked to use County Trunk Highway C and County Trunk Highway H.
Signs will be posted to direct traffic around the closure. The work is weather dependent and subject to change.
