Hosting live music, food, and drinks, street performances, shopping booths, games, and rides — Party on the Pavement will happen this from noon until 7 p.m. Saturday in downtown Racine.
This year’s festival is presented by the Downtown Racine Corporation and is sponsored by Gendlin, Liverman & Rymer, Network Health, SC Johnson and Johnson Financial.
A free event, Party on the Pavement will take place downtown on Main Street from State Street to 7th Street and on 6th Street from Lake Avenue to City Hall.
“This event continues to grow each year both in attendance and vendors. It is truly an event our community should be very proud of. What a great way for residents and visitors from around the area to come together and enjoy our beautiful downtown,” said Kelly Kruse, executive director of the Downtown Racine Corporation.
Party on the Pavement is certain to draw an audience of diverse musical tastes. This year’s performers offer an array of musical styles for your listening pleasure, from hip-hop to blues, rock and roll and everything in between.

- 5 – 7 p.m.: Betsy Ade & The Well-Known Strangers (Contemporary Rock)

- 12:30 – 2 p.m.: Something To Do (Rock ‘n Roll/Ska)
- 2:30 – 4:30 p.m.: Jake O’ Company (Rock ‘n Roll/Blues)

Food
This year’s food offerings feature domestic and international favorites, including Spanish, Filipino, Italian, Korean, Thai, Japanese, Mexican, Irish, Jamaican, Pakistani and American cuisines. Downtown restaurants and food vendors can be found along Main Street and 6th Street.
Check out boutiques along Main and 6th Streets, featuring a variety of Arts & Crafts vendors from all over the area and selling wares including handmade jewelry, beauty products, paintings, handbags, pet products, and household decorations.
The festival brings attractions and entertainment for those of all ages. Kids are certain to have a blast at the fun zone, sponsored by Siena Catholic Schools and Landmark Credit Union.
“Touch a Truck,” a Party on the Pavement favorite, is back this year. Sponsored by Educators Credit Union, interested festival-goers can find large construction equipment, agricultural equipment, law enforcement vehicles and more in Porter’s lot on 6th Street to touch, feel, sit in or on.
6th Street Art Attractions:
- Aerial arts performance at the end of 6th Street in front of Pepi’s Pub & Grill, 618 6th Street.
- Shop the array of hand-made items that local artists have created to sell at the event
Main Street Art Attractions:
- Create your own hands-on-art projects at the Racine Art Museum from 1 – 4 p.m.
- Visit Hot Shop Glass, 239 Wisconsin Ave., for live glass blowing demonstrations

Where to park
Street parking is available for free the day of Party on the Pavement, or you can conveniently park in one
of Downtown Racine’s five parking ramps for only $2 for the entire day. The parking ramps are located
at:
- Civic Center, 501 Lake Ave.
- Lake Avenue, 300 Lake Ave.
- Shoop, 226 Main St.
- Gaslight, 25 Gaslight Dr.
- McMynn, 120 7th St.
Traffic will be re-routed as follows:
Northbound Main Street traffic will detour east on 7th Street, north on Lake Avenue, west on Gas Light Drive and then north on Main Street
Southbound Main Street traffic will detour west on State Street, south on Marquette Street, east on 6th Street, continue east on 7th Street and then south on Main Street
