In thinking about your election bid, what top three issues need to be addressed?*:

Answer: Economic Development, Transparent Fiscal Responsibility, Safety

How would you plan to address those issues?*:

Answer: Continue to ask difficult questions, provide alternative plans, demand fiscal responsibility and strive towards just and equitable development that takes into account our diverse community. Demand and establish protocols that address law enforcement and first responder issues.

In reference to those issues you have identified, what would success look like to you in making an impact?*:

Answer: I have already made in impact as is evident by the comments and votes that have been taken by our Council. Together we have to be better stewards of the resources that we have been given.

Why are those issues important to you?*:

Answer: We need to serve our community. The community depends on us to make wise and equitable decisions that affect our everyday lives. I take this responsibility very seriously and always strive to make decisions that serve our community’s best interests, taking into account the feedback that has been provided and looking to best serve with the resources that we have been given.

At the end of your term, what would you like to have accomplished?*:

Answer: I believe in being a servant leader, working hard to keep taxes low while maintaining services we all depend on, working to maintain a safe and welcoming city with emphasis on attracting strong development that contributes opportunity and value to our community.

Why should people vote for you?*:

Answer: I am experienced and will continue to make a difference in our community by examining the facts and making the best choices with the resources that we have been given. I have responsibly served this community as a pastor, teacher, security officer, Notary Public, Cemetery Commissioner, Member of the City Council, Member of the Finance and Personnel Committee, Member of the Public Works and Services Committee, Member of the Public Safety and Licensing Committee, Member of the Committee of the Whole, Member of the County Human Services Board.

Answer: Bachelor of Religious Education ( Theology and Education, minors in Greek and Communications); Masters of Theology; Graduate of the Police Academy and numerous law enforcement training schools

Answer: LULAC 320 (League of United Latin American Citizens) , NAACP, Friends of Cesar Chavez Community Center.
