Have you ever held an elected office position before?* Yes or No

Answer: Yes

If so, what position(s) were you elected to?*:

Answer: 5th District Alderman for City of Racine.

In thinking about your election bid, what top three issued need to be addressed?*:

Answer:

1 – Make our neighborhoods safer.

2 – Hold the line on property taxes.

3 – Create a positive environment for businesses with quality jobs.

How would you plan to address those issues?*:

Answer:

1 – In addressing neighborhood safety, I would seek collaborative communications between our Racine County and the City of Racine law agencies to promote safety.

2 – As a person who is concerned about fiscal responsibility, I would hold the line on property taxes.

3 – I would like to see a new generation of young people and families coming to Racine and setting down roots in our community. For this to happen we will need to create a positive environment for businesses to come to our area and offer quality jobs.

In reference to those issues you have identified, what would success look like to you in making an impact?*:

Answer: My vision of a thriving and growing community would show Racine developing a more positive image. This vision would show safe neighborhoods, a growing economic business climate that will offer quality jobs and encourage young adults to stay in Racine, come back to Racine or set down roots in Racine. In order for this to be successful we absolutely must keep a strong hold on our property taxes.

Why are those issues important to you?*:

Answer: These issues should not just be important to me but to everyone in the community of Racine. Without these issues happening the growth and success of Racine may not align with the growth we are seeing in our neighboring communities such as ( Kenosha, Oak Creek, Pleasant Prairie )

At the end of your term, what would you like to have accomplished?*:

Answer: At the end of my term, I would like to see not only the issues I have addressed above but also transparency within the County Board. Additionally, I would have brought enhanced communications and collaboration between the County Board and the City of Racine Common Council.

Why should people vote for you?*:

Answer: I have a great passion for Racine. As a lifelong resident, I look forward to serving the citizens of the 3rd District. My promise to my constituents is that I will represent all the people of the district equally with no personal bias. I will always vote in a fiscally responsible manner and my voting will reflect my constituents well being and will never be self serving or self promoting. In looking at my district, historically they have had a strong presence on election day at the polls. This tells me that the third district cares about the future of Racine County. While my opponent has represented our area for many years, I feel I have a great deal to offer and would like a chance to implement new ideas and a no -nonsense perspective to the board. My 90% attendance record from my 4 years on the Racine City Council speaks volumes to this statement and shows the level of commitment that I am ready to give. I look forward to serving you as your next 3rd District Racine County Supervisor.
