UPDATE 7:30 a.m. Aug. 11: Over 4,500 We Energies’ customers are without power.

UPDATE 10:10 p.m.: We Energies has reported that 12,675 of its customers are without power.

ORIGINAL STORY: A strong storm has wreaked havoc in Racine County starting at about 4 p.m. Monday night. About 2 1/2 inches of rain has been reported at about 5:30 p.m. in Racine. More rain is expected.

PLEASE NOTE: Quarry Lake Park, including the dog park, is closed until further notice due to severe damage sustained during yesterday’s storm. We will pass along further updates as we have them.
