Quarterback Zachary Tipton and running back Kamarion Burbridge helped lead the way for Wisconsin Lutheran football as both had two touchdowns in a 27-21 win over New Berlin Eisenhower on Friday night.
With 6:06 remaining in the first quarter, Tipton got the Vikings on the board with a 47-yard touchdown pass to Sean Minor for the first score. Four minutes later, Burbridge added a 28-yard touchdown run before adding another score of 56 yards to take a 21-0 lead early in the second quarter.
New Berlin Eisenhower would answer the three score lead with three consecutive scores of their own. With 7:05 remaining in the first half, Matthew Collicott scored from one yard out to put the Lions on the board before Max Ringwall added touchdown runs of nine and 39 yards to tie the game with two minutes to go in the third quarter.
With 1:58 to go in the game, Tipton hit wide receiver Akeem Allen for a 27-yard touchdown pass to get the game winning score.
With the win, Wisconsin Lutheran gets their first win of the season, and they will travel next week for another non-conference game with Waukesha North. New Berlin Eisenhower will look for their first win of the season next week against Greendale.
