Mukwonago showered the scoreboard with points to drown Muskego 35-14 during this Wisconsin football game.
“I’m proud of our kids finally getting over the hump,” Mukwonago head coach Michael Gnewuch said. “We have played them tough every single game since I have come to Mukwonago, but always came up short. I’m proud of the kids’ resiliency.”
After a Carson Hollman touchdown run in the first quarter, Mukwonago responded with rushing touchdowns from Greyton Gannon, Wynn Stang, and Jacob Adams to grab a 21-7 lead at the half. Muskego added on their final touchdown of the game with a 67-yard touchdown pass from Dylan Krause to Hunter Logan before Adams and Stang added rushing touchdowns in the fourth quarter to get the win.
Stang led the way for Mukwonago with 130 yards rushing on nine carries, while Adams ran for 124 on 16 carries. Krause led the way for Muskego with 132 yards passing in the loss.
“We’ve been getting those numbers out of Jake and Wynn all year. They run hard and our line is exceptional,” Gnewuch said.
Mukwonago advances to play Sun Prairie next week.
“Sun Prairie may be the most talented team we will play this year. We have been drawing a lot of comparisons to Arrowhead,” Gnewuch said. “We are going to have to play our best game of the year in all phases of the game.”
