The Racine Raiders Football team has officially announced their schedule for the 2022 season. The Racine Raiders are a 501c(3) not-for-profit organization staffed by volunteers. They were founded in 1953 and are the longest continuously operating adult amateur or semi-pro football team in the United States. The Racine Raiders will kick off their season at Historic Horlick Athletic Field at 7 p.m on Saturday, May 14. All Racine Raiders home games are played at Historic Horlick Athletic Field in Racine, Wis. with kickoffs at 7 p.m.
They will play a 14-game schedule in 2022. Of those games, 9 of them will be played at their home field. The Raiders schedule includes home-and-home series with each of the teams in the MidStates Football League (MSFL). This year the lineup will include three games against teams that played in national bowl games in 2021.
The Racine Raiders will host two Michigan-based teams, one Minnesota-based team, and four Illinois-based teams.

The season opens with a three-game homestand. The first game on May 14 is against a national bowl winner, the Michigan Gators, from the Detroit area. Following that game, they will host perennial national power, St. Paul Pioneers, on May 21. The two teams have not played each other since 2008. This will renew an old rivalry. Finally, The Racine Raiders will host the Wisconsin Raptors on May 28 to close out the initial homestand stretch of games.
After a league road game, the Raiders return home for four straight home games beginning on June 11 with the Wisconsin Hitmen. From there, they will host MSFL regular-season champions and national bowl winners, the Midway Marauders on June 18. Then, on June 25, the Racine Raiders will play the Chicago Birdgang. This team is a combination of two MSFL teams the Chi City Ducks and Chicago Cardinals. For their annual Armed Forces Night on July 2, the Raiders will host the Grand Rapids Seminoles.
The final two home games of the season will take place on July 16 against the Illinois Cowboys. They will close out the season on August 13 against the Leyden Lions. This will be the Alumni Night game where players, coaches, and staff from the 69-year history of the team are recognized during an on-field ceremony at halftime.
