This March’s BONK! event will be held on Saturday, March 26, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. (Central time). The event will be held on Zoom webinar and streamed on Facebook Live at the BONK! Facebook page. Kim Vodicka is the spokesbitch of a degeneration and the author of four full-length poetry collections—most recently, The Elvis Machine (CLASH Books, 2020) and Dear Ted (Really Serious Literature, 2022). She is also the creator of several experimental chapbooks, including a poetic comic book, a 7” vinyl EP of sound poems, and an illustrated book of poetry. For the past decade, she has toured the nation performing spoken word with musical accompaniment in venues both illustrious and disreputable, including the legendary Sun Studio. Originally from South Louisiana, she lives in Memphis, Tennessee with her beloved cat, Lula.
Gina Tron is the author of seven books, two forthcoming. In 2020, her first book of poetry ‘Star 67’ was published with Vegetarian Alcoholic Press. It contains a poem that has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize and Ploughshares called the book ‘an act of resistance.’ Her second and forthcoming memoir “Suspect,” braids essays and reflections about her time being accused of wanting to shoot up her high school prom. It won the 2020 Tarpaulin Sky book award. Her first memoir, ‘You’re Fine.,’ which is about her time in a psych ward, was called a ‘best of the best’ by The Strand and ‘vibrant, darkly funny, and courageously candid’ by Interview Magazine.’
Al Russell is the author of Children of the Anxious City (2019) and Lookinglasshouse (2021), both from Vegetarian Alcoholic Press. They are a poetry editor at Outlooks Springs literary magazine and a graduate of the MFA program at the University of New Hampshire. Publication credits include The Light Ekphrastic, Nonbinary Review, The Fabulist Words and Art, and elsewhere. They love movies, music, art, and the outdoors. They live in North Carolina with their husband, son, and dog.

The BONK! series showcases poets, writers, musicians, filmmakers, and all sorts of talent in between.
