Barbara Ann Jarstad, age 72, passed away at home on Wednesday, April 5, 2023.
Barbara was born on April 13, 1950, in Racine. She was the only child to Opal Butterfield; loving wife of 56 years to Robert Jarstad; mother of five to Sandy Canaday (Al), Terri (Jim) Thurmann, Brian Jarstad, Kevin Jarstad and Michael (Nicole) Jarstad; grandmother to Robert Jarstad, Jennifer (Chris) Ottaway, Shawn Lynn (Sarah), Nicholas Jarstad, Amber (Elexis) Ramon, Cody Jarstad, Alaina and Lacey Jarstad, Mikayla, Tyler and Addison Jarstad; great-grandmother to Jordan, Aiden, Dylan, Kaydence, Kaylee, Logan, and Kole.
She worked for many years in private home care, and she loved taking care of others. She also loved to go shopping, play bingo and hit the casinos. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends that loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Opal Butterfield and Lawrence Butterfield, and her grandson, Jacob Canaday.
Services
A gathering will be held on April 11, 2023, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel at West Lawn Memorial Park, 9000 Washington Ave., with interment to follow.
