Rachel was born in Racine to Bernardo and Juanita (nee: Martinez) Ramos. She received her associate’s degree in marketing, which she utilized in the positions she held with various companies. Rachel had many interests: listening to all types of music, especially live music played by bands in which her uncles were members. To go along with her music, she loved to dance. Rachel enjoyed shooting pool, loved all her pets, and was a wonderful cook. She would spend hours reading to her children when they were younger; she loved to teach them and others through her words and actions.

Surviving are her sons, Jason (Marquette) and Evan (Sierra); grandchildren, Naudiya, Natalia, Augustus, and Vincentte; great-granddaughter, Ayva; mother, Juanita; and step-father, Ray Marhefke; aunts, Connie and Christina; uncles, Freddie and Felix; niece, Milcah; cousins, other relatives, and many good friends. Rachel was preceded in death by her father, Bernardo; sister, Olivia; brother, Vincente; brother-in-law, Skip; uncles, Fidel and Hondo; and cousin, Tony.
