Obituary for James ‘Jim’ C. White
November 16, 1947 – April 27, 2023
Jim C. White, 75, passed away at the Hospice House in Pleasant Prairie on Thursday, April 27, 2023. He was born in Wausau, Wis., on Nov. 16, 1947, the son of the late Kenneth and Adeline (nee: Van Landuyt) White.

Jim was a graduate of St. Joseph High School, Class of ’65, and Gateway Technical College. On April 8, 1972, in St. Mark Catholic Church, he was united in marriage to Christine Connelly. He retired from Danfoss Inc. Jim’s entire life was centered around music. He played in several bands including Bjorn and White. He also enjoyed tinkering with cars and trucks.
Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Chris; their children, Jennifer White, Daniel (Monica) White, and Steven White, all of Kenosha; three grandchildren, Logan, Brianna, and Brendan; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, John Bouwens, Cynthia Connelly, Kerry (Geri) Connelly, Theresa (Bob) Martin, and Neal (Barb) Connelly. His nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive him.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Andrea Otte, and Suzanne Bouwens; brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law, Rosella Williams, Kathleen Connelly, Brian Connelly, Barb Connelly, and Loretta Connelly.
Services
A celebration of Jim’s life will be held at Cortese’s Banquet Hall, 1300 Sheridan Road, in Kenosha on Friday, May 12. Pastor Cindy Aasen will have a prayer service starting at 1 p.m. followed by lunch and a time of celebration.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to his wife Chris to establish an educational fund for their grandchildren.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Drs. David Knight, Kevin Khaeter, and their staff, as well as the Hospice House of Pleasant Prairie, and the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home.
