Obituary for Lavell Kevontray Hardy

October 15, 1991 - May 4, 2023

Lavell Kevontray Hardy, was born on Oct. 15, 1991, in Racine, Wis., to Sharonda Parker and Charles Lavell Hardy. Lavell was a special child. Born with a disability, he overcame great odds throughout his life. Lavell attended school programs in his earlier years and graduated from J.I. Case High School.

With an infectious smile and moans, Lavell enjoyed the times he spent around family and friends, but most importantly his mother. His favorite pastime was watching television and listening to various sounds. He was a gentle soul with a kind and loving heart. Lavell was unexpectedly called to rest on May 4, 2023. He will be remembered for his strength and will be lovingly remembered, and truly missed.

Lavell is preceded in death by his mother, Sharonda Parker, and his paternal grandmother, Elois Carter. He leaves to cherish his memory, his father, Charles Hardy, maternal grandmother, Linda Parker, brother, Reginald McClain Jr. “Lil Monie,” sister, Cierra Wright “Nana,” two nieces, Asiah and Ari Reign, one nephew, Somontae, and a host of aunts, uncles, family, and friends and special friend, Reginald McClain Sr. “Big Monie.”

Services

Funeral services will be held at the Maresh-Meredith & Acklam Funeral Home, on Monday, May 15, 2023, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Johnny Ford officiating. Relatives and friends may meet prior to the service from 10-11 a.m.
