Obituary for Clairretha G. Nunn Reeves
January 3, 1961 – May 6, 2023
Clairretha Gail Nunn Reeves was born in Racine, Wis., on Jan. 3, 1961, to Shirley Nunn. At an early age, Clairretha was Baptized at Wayman AME Church by the late Rev J. Langston Poole. Clairretha graduated from William Horlick High School, “Class of 1979.” Shortly after graduation, she decided to relocate to Santa Ana, Calif., for a brief stint of time, then returned to Racine to be amongst family and friends.
Clarrietha leaves to cherish her precious memories her daughters, Sandricka (Cory) Lofton of Augusta, Ga., Master Sergeant Andrea Moore of Destin, Fla.; sons, Gregory Moore and Chaz Thomas of Racine; grandchildren, Makayla Dillon and Malachi Lewis of Destin, Fla., Courtney Lofton Augusta, Ga., Tremaine Gates, Tramell Gates and Sir-Thomas Stone of Racine.
She also leaves her mother, Shirley Nunn of Racine; sisters, Janice (Lynn) Nunn and Chandra Nunn of Racine, Racquehl Nunn of Phoenix, Ariz., Beaulah Thomas, Daisy Young, Pam Young, Edna Young, Betty Young, and Felicia Young, all of Racine; brothers, James Powell Jr., Bryce Bowens, and Tony Young of Racine; two god-children, Tashi Hill and Nickia Shaw; special friends, Vicky Oliverios, Arteesia Ward, Vanessa McNeil, and Brenda Thompkins; also surviving are three aunts, Dorothy Nunn of Racine, Sandra (Mark) Lyons and Robbie Shaw of Phoenix; three uncles, Bobbie Nunn, Michael Nunn, and Wardell Golden of Racine; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins, too many to mention by name.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Nelson and Rebecca Nunn, brother Marvin Nunn, godmother, Clara Joe Pinson, four aunts, and two uncles.
Services
Funeral services will be held at the Maresh-Meredith & Acklam Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, with a viewing at 10 a.m. and a service at 11 a.m. with Minister Michael Nunn officiating. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery.
