She was born in Racine on July 31, 1962, to Earl and Susan (nee: Hinrichs) Seyferth. Julie grew up spending many summers as a young girl with her sister, Sandra, and her grandparents, camping in Hayward, sparking her love of nature.

On Sept. 30, 1985, Julie married Mark Steiner and made him very happy for 37 wonderful years. Her family was always her priority. She did an outstanding job raising their three children. Together they took many road trips around the state of Wisconsin, where they would spend time exploring the state parks and other wilderness areas. Julie was affectionately known as “Doggy Grandma” by her granddaughter Lily. Julie’s love and compassion will be dearly missed by all who had the honor of meeting her.

She is survived by her husband, Mark; children, Amanda (CJ) Roselle, Douglas (Kirsten) Steiner, Benjamin Steiner; grandchildren, Lily Steiner, Zander Steiner; mother, Susan Seyferth; siblings, Sandra Harper, David Seyferth, Sheri (Rodney) Payne; and her dogs, Bear and Finn. She will also be missed by numerous nieces and nephews and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Earl Seyferth, and grandparents, Harry and Myrtle Hinrichs and Roland and Gladys Seyferth.

Services

Per her wishes, there will be no funeral service. A private family remembrance gathering has already taken place. Her ashes will remain in the care of Mark until such time that he joins her, and they can once again spend time together in various nature settings around the country.

Memorials to the Humane Society have been suggested.
