Obituary for Tanya Marie Mejia
September 3, 1975 – May 19, 2023
Tanya Marie Mejia (nee: Kottal), 47, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on May 19.
Tanya was born in Racine to Ronald and Janet (nee: Vanbrunt) Kottal on Sept. 3, 1975. In Las Vegas, on Jan. 15, 1993, she was united in marriage to her love, Pablo Mejia. It was an honor for her maternal grandparents, Pat and Mavis Brook, to walk her down the aisle.
Tanya was a special mother, always loving and supporting her family. She’s known for having open arms and the kindest heart. Tanya was creative in arts and crafts, especially making jewelry and clothing. She also enjoyed roller skating with her family.Â
Tanya will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Pablo; children, John Paul, Alyssa, and Amelianna; grandchildren, Bronx and Hayzen; mother, Janet Kottal-Vanbrunt; siblings, Justin Kowalski, Miranda Scott; uncle, Bob Brook; and aunt, Sandy.
Tanya was preceded in death by her son, Jacob Andres Mejia, and maternal grandparents, Pat and Mavis Brook.

Tanya’s wishes were to be cremated.
